celebrating Veteran Voices during Fleet Week
The CineVet Veteran Film Showcase returns to the big screen with a special in‑person program at the IFC Center, celebrating the creative voices of U.S. military veterans. This unique screening features seven short films spanning narrative, documentary, and experimental work, each offering a distinct perspective shaped by service and lived experience.
In addition to the film program, the event includes a filmmaker panel, a networking meet and greet, plus giveaways! Presented in collaboration with The New School’s Center for Military Affiliated Students, AMC Global Media’s Future in Film initiative, and the IFC Center, the event reflects a shared commitment to expanding opportunities for veteran storytellers and strengthening their presence within New York’s creative community.

The CineVet Veteran Film Showcase is a unique initiative dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifices of military Veterans through the powerful medium of cinema. The showcase provides a platform for the general public and the Veteran community, to share their stories, engage with their community, and inspire audiences with their resilience, creativity, and contributions to society. Set against the vibrant cultural backdrop of New York City, the CineVet Film Showcase bridges the gap between Veterans and civilians by fostering understanding, appreciations, and dialogue.
